Just to give everybody an update on what's going on with me, I'd like to note that I'm still learning how to use the Source engine, particularly the "Hammer" level editor at the moment, with which I am planning to use ultimately for creating some levels for the game Portal, as well as developing a multiplayer mod for it as well. I am also working on transforming my story "Nettlewood" (which was originally going to be a novel) and reworking some of the ideas for that into a game design concept, which will take some great thought and consideration, but I've come up with some ideas that I think will work out pretty well, so I feel like I'm on the right track at least, and have a decent starting point. Hopefully once I really get some of these ideas into a working model I'll be able to build a portfolio of sorts to use in landing a job in the game industry. In the meantime, however, it's become obvious to me that I'll need to perhaps get me a second job in order to make a little extra money so I can get my finances under control and be able to make a more significant impact on the bills I owe. In regards to my once pursuit of comic creation, as well as the utilization of my drawing ability for something constructive, I will be continue to be working on those things as well, albeit as more so a hobby. But I've decided that I'm not going to give up on my "Buckthorn" comic idea, (nor other comic ideas I'd had) and will still do it as a webcomic, as I'd originally planned. And even regarding all this, it may be that these things will be reversed, with me ending up with a career in comics and a hobby of developing indie games. At any case, I know the important thing is to keep busy and working (though at the moment I'm taking somewhat of a break) and trust in the Lord that He will work out His will in my life regarding these things according to His own good purpose.
